Browse CollectionsLaminate flooring delivers a realistic wood look at a sensible price. A tough, photographic wear layer over a dense core gives excellent scratch and dent resistance, quick click installation and simple cleaning, ideal value for whole-home projects.
Where owners stay put, the money is better spent on the wear layer than on plank width. A thicker top layer can be sanded back twice over its life; a thin one cannot be sanded at all. That points GU15 and GU16 households towards Engineered Oak Wide Plank.
Today’s laminates look and feel remarkably close to real wood, with deep embossing and matt finishes, and many ranges are water-resistant too. Heat is not spread evenly through a house that size: one room runs warm at Heatherside or Bagshot while the dining room barely gets touched, and a floor crossing both moves at different rates. Size the perimeter gap for the whole run, not for one room.
Detached houses set the tone across Surrey Heath, from Heatherside and Frimley Green out to Bagshot, Lightwater and Bisley, with semis and a smaller run of purpose-built flats behind them. Most households here own rather than rent, which makes a floor a fifteen-year decision rather than a short-term one. Against that backdrop, laminate flooring is the natural fit for bedrooms, living rooms and whole-home fits.
Every home is different, but clear patterns run through the Camberley projects we supply:
Detached living rooms: Detached houses are the commonest type across Frimley, Heatherside and Mount Hermon, and a wide room turns plank width into a real decision rather than a matter of taste. Narrow boards read restless over that span, so engineered oak in a broad plank settles it.
Stairs and landings: Ownership runs higher in Surrey Heath than in any other town we deliver to, so this is a floor people live with rather than swap. Put the money in the wear layer: a thick top on engineered oak can be sanded back later, a thin one cannot.
Kitchens: Bagshot, Lightwater, Bisley and West End are family houses rather than flats, and a kitchen in that stock takes garden traffic the whole year. Neither porcelain tiles nor SPC absorb what comes in on boots, which no timber board can match.
Bedrooms: Bedrooms in a large detached house carry far less traffic than the ground floor, so the choice turns on quiet and consistency instead of wear. Fitting engineered wood over a dense underlay does both, and holding the downstairs board width keeps the house reading as one home.
Laminate Flooring · Laminate costs less at the outset but cannot be refinished, so where households own for the long run it makes more sense upstairs than under daily traffic.
