Do dark floors make a room look smaller?
Only in very low light. With pale walls and decent daylight, dark floors add depth and read as luxurious rather than heavy, which is why they anchor so many high-end schemes. Are dark wood floors hard to keep clean?
They show dust more readily than mid-tones, that part of the reputation is true. Choose a brushed or matt surface and the texture will hide most of it between cleans; avoid high sheen, which highlights every mark. LVT or laminate, what is the difference?
LVT is fully waterproof, quieter and slightly softer underfoot; laminate is harder-wearing against scratches and cheaper. For wet rooms choose LVT every time.
