RANKED BY SALES

The five floors our customers bought most

Not an editor’s pick and not a paid placement. These are the five highest-selling floors in our range by revenue between 30 June 2025 – 25 June 2026 — three oak, one solid, one laminate, and three of them herringbone.

The pattern in that list is the whole story: people come for the look, then choose the material they can afford to get it in. That is why a laminate sits at number three.

Which of the five is right for your room?

The short version, before you read five product pages.

You have underfloor heating

Any of the engineered floors: Richmond, or either Oxford Herringbone. Not Windsor — an 18mm solid board is listed as not compatible, and no fitting method changes that.

You want the herringbone look on a budget

Canterbury laminate is roughly half the price per square metre of the Oxford blocks. You lose the real oak surface and the ability to refinish; you keep the pattern.

It is a period house with timber floors

Windsor Narrow. The 90mm width is the proportion those rooms were boarded in originally, and solid oak over joists is what the building expects.

It is a large open-plan space

Richmond at 240mm wide, or Oxford Dark Brown if you want pattern rather than plank. Both give a big room something to sit on.

The room is small or north-facing

Oxford Light Oak. The invisible finish keeps the oak pale, so the floor gives daylight back instead of absorbing it.

Before you choose

How is this ranking worked out?+

By net sales revenue for each product between 30 June 2025 – 25 June 2026, taken from our own order data. It is not based on reviews, margin or what we would like to sell.

How much waste should I order?+

5–7% on a straight plank floor, 10–12% on herringbone. Herringbone perimeters generate far more offcuts because every board meeting a wall is cut at an angle. The calculator on each product page applies the right figure for that floor.

Which floors work over underfloor heating?+

Engineered construction is the stable choice: the core is built up in layers that resist the movement heat cycles cause. Solid oak is not suitable, which rules out Windsor Narrow. Always commission the system and bring the temperature up gradually after laying.

Can I see them before I buy?+

Samples £1.99 each · up to 10 per order. Each one is a genuine cut from a real board rather than a printed swatch, which matters most on the laminate and on any pale finish.

What are the return terms?+

Unopened full packs within 30 days. A 25% restocking fee applies to non-faulty returns. Cut-to-size and made-to-order products cannot be returned or cancelled once produced.
