What AC rating do I need for my laminate?

AC4 for most rooms — hallways, living rooms, kitchens (if you must use laminate). AC3 for bedrooms only. AC5 for home offices with rolling chairs or areas expecting very heavy foot traffic. Never use...

Is laminate suitable for underfloor heating?

Only if the specific product states UFH compatibility. Many laminates are not suitable. Check the manufacturer specification. For UFH applications, LVT or engineered wood are safer choices with broader compatibility.

Can laminate get wet?

No — not beyond incidental splashing. The HDF core absorbs moisture and swells. Wipe spills immediately. Never use a wet mop. If moisture is a regular risk in the room, choose LVT instead.
