Browse CollectionsThe living room is where flooring sets the tone of your home, so warmth, comfort and style come first. Engineered oak and parquet are the standout choices, bringing natural character and a premium feel that lasts for years.
Tenure decides the specification more than taste does. In a home that changes hands often, an AC-rated Laminate Flooring or a mid-wear-layer LVT over a properly prepared base outlasts a thin engineered board, and costs less to put right when it fails.
Engineered wood is stable over underfloor heating and suits any decor, while parquet adds timeless elegance, both create a welcoming, hard-wearing living space. Between one tenancy and the next a West Bromwich house stands unheated for weeks, and the subfloor is colder then, holding more moisture, than it will once somebody moves in. A covering fitted in that state is settling to conditions that have not arrived yet.
Semi-detached houses account for close to half the stock across Sandwell, terraces and flats behind. Tenure marks the borough out: ownership sits well below what we see in most towns, social renting is heavy, and private renting has climbed sharply. The floor is often a landlord’s decision.
Every home is different, but clear patterns run through the West Bromwich projects we supply:
Where nearly half the homes are rented: Sandwell has one of the lowest ownership rates we deliver to, with social renting high and private renting rising faster than in any town on this list. That settles the specification in Greets Green and Lyng or Great Bridge: a hard-wearing laminate or a mid-weight LVT over a properly prepared base.
Ground floors in a Hateley Heath semi: The semi is what most of the borough is built from, and in Charlemont with Grove Vale or Hateley Heath it is the type a fitter meets all week. Carrying one LVT through hall and reception rooms keeps thresholds flush, because the build-up never changes from door to door.
Flats in B66 and B67: Flats are a larger part of Sandwell’s stock than of most places we cover, and in a block what goes down is heard downstairs before it is seen anywhere. An acoustic underlay beneath laminate is usually written into the tenancy, and it counts for more than the finish chosen above it.
Kitchens between tenancies: A kitchen in a home that changes hands often gets judged by the cost of putting it right, not by the cost of fitting it. An SPC core does not take up moisture, so a leak behind the machine becomes a subfloor job rather than a new floor.
We deliver across West Bromwich and West Midlands (B postcodes) from our UK warehouse. Most in-stock orders arrive within a timeframe that depends on the delivery postcode.
We supply living room flooring across Wednesbury, Tipton and Oldbury and the B postcode area. The safest first step is a sample order to your West Bromwich home: a few boards on your own floor, in your own light, tell you more than any photo.
Bestsellers our customers order again and again. Samples available for every floor.
