The colour is oak's own, warmed slightly by the oil, and the brushing gives the surface a fine texture that catches the light.

This is the Ascot board for a hallway or a kitchen: the brushed grain hides small scratches, and the oiled finish is repaired locally where it wears rather than as a whole floor. The Rustic grade allows knots and colour variation, which the texture suits. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.8 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 15 years.
