Cobham Natural Oak Oiled is a smooth, oiled, Classic grade board: engineered European oak, 14 mm thick, 150 mm wide in random lengths from 300 mm to 1200 mm, with a 3 mm wear layer. Smooth and oiled is the quiet combination, a surface that reads as plain oak with a soft, matt protection in it, and the Classic grade keeps the boards even.

An oiled floor is looked after where it is walked on: the worn patch is cleaned and re-oiled with the manufacturer's maintenance oil, and the rest of the floor is left alone. On a smooth board that matters, because fine scratches show more than on a brushed one and a local re-oil is the answer to them. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; each box covers 1.44 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 15 years.

For the same natural oak with a brushed, oiled surface that hides marks, the Cobham Natural Brushed Oak; for a lacquered surface in the same width, the Cobham Natural Oak UV Lacquered. For a paler natural, the Cobham Invisible Oiled Oak keeps the raw colour of sanded timber.
