The oil is re-applied locally with the manufacturer's maintenance oil where a run of blocks has worn, and the texture hides small marks between times. A dark patterned floor needs a room with good daylight or warm artificial light. The blocks are tongue and groove with a micro-bevel, listed as compatible with underfloor heating, and boxed 48 at a time for 1.944 square metres; the manufacturer's warranty is 15 years.
