Windsor Solid Golden Hand Scraped is the honeyed solid oak board with a hand scraped surface: 18 mm of solid European oak, 125 mm wide in random lengths, Rustic grade, UV lacquered. The golden tone is the colour oak arrives at after years of daylight, and the hand scraping gives the board the softened surface of a floor that has been walked on for generations.

A hand scraped lacquer hides small marks in its undulation and is wiped clean; when the film has worn, the solid oak beneath can be sanded and refinished, again and again. The board needs a dry subfloor and time to acclimatise, as every solid oak floor does. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, not listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.2 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 20 years.
