Windsor Solid Smooth Oak Wood Flooring 18 x 150 (mm)

At 150 mm the board reads as a plank floor rather than a strip floor, and the range stops at this width for solid oak because a wider solid board moves too much with the seasons.

A smooth lacquer is the cleanest look and the surface that shows fine scratches most, so it suits living rooms and dining rooms with felt pads under the furniture; it is wiped clean and refinished as a whole floor, which solid oak allows repeatedly. Dry subfloor, acclimatisation, and the moisture check before laying. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, not listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.44 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 20 years.

The Windsor Solid Brushed 150 mm is the same board brushed and oiled; the Smoked and Dark boards in the same width are brushed and matt lacquered. For a wider plank, or a heated room, the engineered Weybridge boards at 190 mm.
