Montpellier Oak Versailles Panel 20 x 800 x 800 (mm)

A Versailles panel is a framed square with a woven infill laid as one unit, and the invisible lacquer keeps the oak at the pale, sanded colour that lets the geometry of the panel show.

At 20 mm with a 4 mm wear layer it is the thickest board in the parquet range, with the depth for repeated refinishing and a 20 year manufacturer's warranty. Panels this size are bonded to a flat subfloor; the room needs to hold several whole panels in each direction for the grid to read. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box of four panels covers 2.56 square metres.

The Avignon panel is the same construction in natural oak and the Bordeaux panel in smoked oak. For a pale patterned floor at a smaller scale, the Oxford Light Oak herringbone blocks or the Knightsbridge Chevron Raw Oak boards.
