Windsor Solid Coffee Hand Scraped Oak Wood Flooring 18 x 125 (mm)

The scraped surface hides the fine scratches that a flat dark floor shows, and the lacquer wipes clean and is refinished as a whole floor when it has worn, which solid oak allows over decades. Solid oak needs a dry subfloor and acclimatisation before laying. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, not listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.2 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 20 years.

It belongs in a period house where a flat, uniform floor would look wrong. The Windsor Solid Golden and Golden Brown Hand Scraped boards are the warmer tones in the same surface; the Windsor Solid Dark Oak at 150 mm is the brushed, matt lacquered dark board without the scraping.
