Product details
BML Herringbone Invisible Oak copies an oak block finished with an invisible oil, the finish that keeps sanded oak looking sanded: 6.5 mm rigid vinyl, 126 mm by 630 mm, textured, micro-bevelled, click-fitted. The colour is listed as light oak, without the amber tint a conventional finish would add.
It is parquet for the rooms where a light floor is wanted and water is expected: the plank itself is waterproof, the wear layer is 0.55 mm, and the blocks click together as a floating floor with the underlay attached over a flat, dry subfloor. Commercial grade, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box of 24 blocks covers 1.905 square metres; manufacturer's warranty 25 years.
The BML Herringbone Light Oak is the warmer pale block in the same format and the BML Herringbone American White Oak the whiter one. For the same finish in engineered oak on a dry floor, the Knightsbridge Chevron Raw Oak and the Cobham Invisible Oiled Oak plank.
