Oxford Herringbone Natural Brushed is the natural, oiled block in the broader Oxford size: engineered European oak, 14 mm thick, 125 mm wide and 600 mm long, Classic grade, brushed and UV oiled, with a 3 mm wear layer. A 125 mm by 600 mm block gives a calmer, larger-scale herringbone for big rooms, where the finer block would look fussy.

Brushed and oiled hides fine scratches and is repaired locally with the manufacturer's maintenance oil, which suits a large room that is lived in. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box of 16 blocks covers 1.2 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 15 years. Order for the cutting allowance a pattern needs, and keep the spare blocks.

The Oxford Brushed UV Oiled block at 90 mm by 450 mm is the same surface in the finer size; the Oxford Light Brushed block the pale version in this size; the Oxford Antique Brown the dark, aged one. For the same oak in a plank, the Cobham Natural Brushed Oak.
