Windsor Solid Brushed 125 mm is solid oak for the rooms that are walked through: 18 mm of solid European oak, 125 mm wide in random lengths, Rustic grade, brushed and UV oiled, natural oak colour. The brushing lifts the grain into a texture that hides the fine scratches grit leaves, and the oil sits in that texture rather than on top of it.

An oiled solid floor is the most repairable floor in the range: a worn patch is re-oiled locally with the manufacturer's maintenance oil, and when the day comes for a full refinish, solid oak has the depth for it many times over. It needs a dry subfloor and acclimatisation before laying. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, not listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.2 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 20 years.

The Windsor Solid Smooth 125 mm is the same board with a smooth lacquer; the Windsor Solid Brushed at 150 mm the same surface a width up; the Windsor Narrow Brushed the same surface at 90 mm. For a heated room, the engineered Ascot Brushed UV Oiled Oak.
