BML Chocolate Oak is the dark plank of the click range: 5.2 mm rigid vinyl, 181 mm by 1220 mm, textured, micro-bevelled, click-fitted. The colour is listed as dark oak, the deep brown of a stained oak board, and the texture keeps it from looking like a painted surface.

Dark floors show dust and water spots more than pale ones, so this one is easier to live with in a kitchen than in a bathroom, and in either room the plank itself is waterproof and mopped clean. Wear layer 0.3 mm, underlay attached, floated over a flat, dry subfloor with a click joint. Commercial grade, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box of 10 boards covers 2.21 square metres; 25 year manufacturer's warranty.
