Product details
Wabi Sabbia is the sand-coloured partner to Wabi Bianco: a 600 mm by 1200 mm porcelain tile, 9 mm thick, with a lappato surface, made in Spain, listed for floors and walls. Sabbia means sand, and the tile follows a soft, warm stone rather than a veined marble, which makes it the quieter of the two.
The lappato finish is honed to a low sheen without being polished flat, so it takes light without becoming a mirror. Water absorption is listed below 0.50 per cent, the tile is frost resistant, and it is listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box of 2 tiles covers 1.44 square metres. Porcelain at this absorption is cleaned with water and a neutral cleaner.
It suits a bathroom or a kitchen floor that wants warmth without wood, and the same tile on the walls of a shower. Wabi Bianco is the white version; Agate White the paler lappato stone with more movement; Alexandria Cream the polished marble in a similar warm tone.
