Herringbone is laid with the blocks at right angles to each other, and the click joint on these blocks makes that pattern a floating floor rather than a glued one. The plank itself is waterproof; the wear layer is 0.55 mm, the thicker of the two in the BML range; the underlay is attached. Commercial grade, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box holds 24 blocks and covers 1.905 square metres; the manufacturer's warranty is 25 years.

It is the answer for a kitchen or a hallway that wants parquet under a dishwasher or a wet coat. The BML Natural Oak click plank is the same colour as a straight board; the BML Herringbone Light Oak and BML Herringbone American White Oak are the paler blocks in the same format.
